Charlie Ecker

An innovator of original music, songwriter Charlie Ecker hit the long dusty trail in the Summer, 2011 and what a journey, shooting up, in the words of Independent Music Network's Buck McCoy "like a rocket" with some very important and much appreciated awards and recognition. He also said this about Charlie's work,  "What great country music is all about." Since then, he has earned the title "Career Country Songwriter" spanning the 25 year history of the L.A. Music Awards, "Songwriter of the Year" at the Producer's Honors in Las Vegas, and "Christian Artist of the Year" at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

On the Marquix Global News Network, Ecker, whose primary goal is to connect his music with established artists, was named one of the 2016 'Top 15 to Watch in Music.' " With the understated confidence of a seasoned musician, Ecker has calmly established himself as a successful songwriter and force in country music," noted the headline in the article. At the same time, he was named as the only country composer in the 'Sound Has Evolved' organization directed to Film and TV music supervisors.

This Upstate New York native received the award for "Best Country Song" at the 2014 L.A. Music Awards, considered one step under the heralded Grammy Awards. It also received four other LAMA nominations during a three year period and his music has earned thirteen wins at the Akademia Awards in both Country and Christian categories.

Although known as primarily for his Country music, Ecker was awarded "Christian Song of the Year" at the 2013 Hollywood Music in Media Awards for his heartfelt tribute to his Savior the poignant "My Dear Lord (I am Your Servant)".  The song came about after some tough medical challenges in 2012 with a stroke and separate head injury.   His country music was also nominated six other times at HMMA!

He and his sessions band were twice nominated for "Country Performers of the Year" in the Artists in Music international competition and came in second for "Band of the Year," three percentages behind the winner, a cover band, at the 2013 Independent Country Music Association competition.   Add to this 2012 "Country Band of the Year" at Real Country Radio in Tokyo!

Ecker, as a songwriter, was first selected as one of the ten original inductees into the Renegade Radio Nashville "New Faces of Country" receiving a hay wagon full of promotional support from this largest of all Internet country music platforms. Regular airplay started November 1, 2013 on this impressive 24/7 all live station. In February, 2016, he was moved up as one of a dozen established and Indie featured artists.  Musicians have also given Charlie constant support putting him continuously in the Reverbnation LA Top 10 Country for two straight years. It broke the record at eight months!

In Europe, Ecker's music was first played, beginning in early 2012, on The Starliners Radio Network, where his group landed at #1 Country for three years in a row, placing it in the "Starliner's Europe" Hall of Fame. Ecker's music received a similar "Star Award" at the U.S.- based SDC Radio Network in 2015.

Charlie has produced three digitally distributed L.P.s,  "Down the Back 40: Risin' Sun," "Down the Back 40: Plantin' Seeds," the latter an acoustic compilation of his songs and "Down the Back 40: "Settin' Sun."
