Chris Loid's latest single "Until the Earth Stands Still" is everybody's dream,  having someone by your side to the end.  This song could well become a new wedding dance favorite, I know it is mine and will be my wedding dance on July 2nd, 2022.  I guess one can't give a song a higher compliment but the song is very deserving of the honor and Loid's voice with its exquisite tone resonates with depth of  powerful emotion in "Until the Earth Stands Still".

Chris is an accomplished singer/songwriter with an amazing five octave range. His talents as a singer are not overshadowed by his ability to write songs with heartfelt and expressive lyrics driving home their messages . Some people say he sounds like Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Travis Tritt but he can hit notes that bands like Rascal Flats and Outfield can.

Chris Loid is an independent artist and songwriter who was never told that life would be easy, his path to bring him to where he is today is paved with hard work and grit. He was born and raised in ‘small town’ Washington where the out west lifestyle influence was built in to daily living. His mother always said he was singing in the womb, but the rest of us had to wait for his very first public performance as a three-year-old boy in the little community church in that same town where he was born.

By the time he was six years old Chris tagged along with his mother’s Gospel group,  the Lighthouse Gospel Singers,  getting his solo performance debut.  Loid  began to travel and perform outside of his small town in high school and  broadened his musical interests learning to play multiple instruments.  Chris wrote his first song at 13, a song called “Uncle Charley’s Blues”, about a colorful uncle he had.  Hundreds of songs have been written by Loid since that first humble beginning.

Chris also started touring with a band in high school, opening shows for Tracy Byrd, Eddie Money, James Otto, Curtis Salgado, and others.  As a sixteen year old his talent took him places where he had never been, in to bars, pubs, and taverns throughout eastern Washington and northeast Oregon.  Performing at the legendary Pendleton Round Up for many years he received rave reviews from critics and folks all over the northwest.

Early on, Chris traveled to Nashville so he could better dedicate his time to music. After his return home to Washington he married his wife and with his family’s support and blessing Chris traveled through the great northwest, first to Portland, OR where his first album “Back Road Home’ was produced.  Loid's second album "It Goes On" again demonstrates this extremely talented artist's vocal abilities and song writing skills.

Loid  travelled on to Tennessee and Dallas Fort Worth, Texas where he performed with Outlaw Hank and alongside Tejano band Grupo Stampede. Chris’ passion was made stronger with success on the major independent charts gaining support from not only his local community, widening his audience across the world. Chris has had many number one hits on the indie charts across the United States and abroad.

Chris scored a top indie hit in 2005 with his song “Not On My Watch”.  It was the first of many to his the Indie Chart including “You Never Looked So Good” Performed by Chris Loid and written by Chris Loid & Mike Parker. Reached Number One on the Top40 Indie Country Charts during August 2019, “Light This Mother Up”  hit number one in November of 2020 performed by Chris Loid & Green Light Polly, and the music video for his patriotic song “America My Home”, written and performed by Chris Loid & Green Light Polly, topped the Video Express Top20 Charts in 2020.   Loid loves God and his country, is patriotic and loves to fish. His songs reflect the things he loves and more. If you like listening to Country music and love fishing in God's country, you can appreciate what Chris is about. If you are a veteran and haven't heard his music, you need to give a listen.

Chris' song with the clever double meaning, "There She Stands"  is a song about the loved one waiting for you and the land he  lives in America, and the the way he wants the rest of the world to know  America as, being  here for all.  “There She Stands”  is performed by Chris Loid and is cowritten by Marcos Hernandez and  Loid. The song reached Number One on the Top40 Country  Indie Charts in August 2020.  The music video  for “There She Stands”  also topped the VideoExpress Top20 Charts during 2020.

The road to his dreams gave him perspective and it can be felt through his soulful performances. Chris has performed in front of crowds ranging from 1 to 85,000 people. Chris developed his unique sound from a love of music and collection of heroes from multiple genres from Gospel to Rock and Roll. People often ask how he hits the high notes and he tells them it’s all about focus, work, and practice.

Chris is performing with a group of talented artists who make up Green Light Polly (GLP), such a winning combination.  This band is tight and has plenty of experience. GLP has two great guitar players, bass, keys and drums along with background vocalist. Listening to them live gives you that grit sound you love when listening to Country. The band is in the process of working on another album with Chris hoping to give it that newer Country sound to the likes of Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and others. With a combined musical knowledge of over 150 years they aim to please and will no doubt reign down nothing but success .

Don't miss viewing three of Loid's videos "Riding Free", "There She Stands" and "Until the World Stands Still" on Nashville Country TV available on over 50 TV platforms around the world and on all smart TVs.

You can't help but admire the determination, extreme talent, hard work and down right passion that Chris Loid gives to Country music.  Chris Loid has released too many singles  to be mentioned in this article, each song echoing from the depths of his soul.   If you haven’t had the pleasure to enjoy Chris Loid’s sound, skill and soul you are truly missing out.
