Lauren Davidson is unconventional, inimitable, and unmissable. Blending New York City vibes with the rich tones of contemporary Country music, she has created a genre all her own, and audiences and critics just can’t get enough. The urban country singer-songwriter Lauren Davidson isn’t a stranger to the Country music industry. With releases, “Live In The Light,” “Backfire,” and “Thinking About You,” Davidson has made a statement in 2021.
Lauren has also released her fourth single off her upcoming EP “Hindsight is 2020,” which features songs all written during the pandemic including her single titled “Silver Linings” and her phenomenal single “Find Me”. This song swirls with uplifting chords and melodies of empowerment from the beginning. This robust sound is no surprise, however. Davidson has been described as “a smooth-as-silk combination of Lady Antebellum and Kelsea Ballerini, gently mingled with her own powerhouse gusto.”
Davidson further explains her sound in, “‘Find Me’", was conceived and written lyrically as a ‘girl power anthem’ fused musically with feel good Country/Pop overtones. Unlike anything I’ve released before, ‘Find Me’ is about gaining inner strength after the breakdown of a serious relationship and serves as a reminder to always be yourself. It was an incredibly gratifying experience co-producing this track with my team and being inspired and influenced purely by what makes me feel strong, positive and in control of my own life and happiness.”
Bringing her killer vocals and sassy personality to the stage, Davidson speaks her truth on her single “Thinking About You” . According to the songstress, the song was inspired by a real-life breakup. Allowing her powerful boss babe vibes to come out, the singer confidently decides that she is done wasting her time thinking about any ex.
Lauren has been described as “An early Patsy Cline or Linda Ronstadt, with that I can do this myself attitude” and further dubbed as “One of Country music's most underrated female artists” on the scene. She has made countless radio appearances, played shows with Old Dominion, Carly Pearce, Russell Dickerson, Maddie & Tae, Michael Ray, and this year performed at the creme of New York venues, Madison Square Garden, as part of PBR’s “Unleash The Beast” tour.
Davidson is, without a doubt, New York’s own "Urban Country" queen. Never one to forget her roots, Davidson has created "Urban Country Jam" (UCJ). UCJ presents Country music mini-festivals, set in major Cities, that join together emerging Country artists with fans and industry professionals. This provides artists with an important platform to garner the exposure they deserve. All the while she has made her own live show one of the best around, hitting up top-tier venues both in NYC and across the country.
Lauren and her band have also shared the stage with veteran performers Justin Moore, Rodney Adkins, and The Marshall Tucker Band among many others. Additionally, she has strung together a series of radio appearances that include NY Country 94.7, The Boot, Taste of Country, Raised Rowdy, the Ty Bentli show, WSM Radio and many more.
When she’s not selling out shows or performing along with A-List acts across the US, Lauren is in the studio crafting her latest EP. The release, entitled “Love Ain’t Fair”, will feature five unique takes on the prototypical ‘love song’. In keeping with her brand, Davidson promises these will be “anything but traditional".
Don't miss Lauren Davidson as she has managed to successfully blend her New York city vibes with the rich tones of contemporary Country music creating a genre all her own which fans and critics alike cannot get enough of.
