Up-and-coming country star Nathan Merovich has released "More Like Midnight," his first single of 2021. The tribute to teenage love serves as the follow-up to 2020's "Mama's Song." with the new track making its debut via an exclusive premiere with Got Country.
Nathan Merovich’s new single is sure to satisfy all those who have been craving some summertime heat. “More Like Midnight” conveys the uniquely invigorating, intimate quality of young love. Describing it as a “Windows-rolled-down, cruisin’-down-a-backroad-in-the-summer” kind of song, Merovich hopes this track will remind everyone of their first romance and encourage them not to forget their current love. “Derek Reitz, Tia Welsh and I wrote this song about being young and telling your girl’s father that you’ll have her home by nine, but it turns into midnight because you were having so much fun you lost track of time,” Merovich says of his latest release.
Between the descriptive lyrics and Merovich’s undeniably Country delivery, you can practically hear the “Screamin’ loud sounds” of Merovich’s pickup yourself. Pedal steel and compressed electric guitar bolster the track’s authentic feel. Once you immerse yourself in the peaceful, rustic scenery, you’ll surely lose track of time as well!
Nathan Merovich’s natural twang and four octave range will pull you in right from the first note. The 23-year-old Dillsburg, Pennsylvania native began playing guitar at the age of seven.
