Rae Leigh is an independent Australian singer songwriter, following up from her success with her number 1 single “Push em Up Jill” with her release of her  new single "Blue Shoes".   In her music intention is to dive into generational story telling, passing on the gifts of knowledge as she says "We have as women, to make us stronger and nurture the girls we are blessed to raise up".

For instance, “A story that has been shared for years and even at my wedding was my mum always wondering why there was lipstick all over her mirror in the bedroom, turns out younger me had been putting make up on the girl in the mirror and couldn’t understand why she kept moving! ”  laughs Rae Leigh. 

 

Rae Leigh is an independent Australian singer songwriter, hitting the public live performance scene in the Gold Coast and  Brisbane in 2019. She was encouraged to perform live after inspirational trip to Nashville when she attended the SongTown Songwriting retreat. Rae has been writing songs since childhood and started co-writing professionally after the DAG Singer Songwriter retreat in Tamworth in 2015.

In 2020 Rae Leigh released 6 singles with 'Find A Better Day' hitting the charts and being shared on CMT and national radio. Followed by national tour to Victoria and Tasmaina and an EP 'Powered By Love' released in early 2021. A JMC academy partnered with Logan city council awarded Rae a $10,000 package to produce and release her next single 'Just Like That' with a music video released on December 3rd  2021. 

 

This Gold Coast singer-songwriter Rae Leigh is passionate about connecting through the power of stories. As an acclaimed artist receiving radio support from the likes of ABC Brisbane, ABC Gold Coast, 98.9 Best Country and 107.3 Juice Radio, Rae is an active collaborator having worked with songwriters both in Australia and Nashville, TN (USA).  Rae also maintains a busy performing schedule, performing locally as well as around Australia.

 

As an independent artist, Rae releases music under her own record and publishing label Rae Leigh Music.

With 160+ podcast episodes to date, Rae connects music lovers and songwriters through her candid and inspiring approach. Besides promoting talent on Songwriter Trysts, Rae also leads songwriting sessions and showcases for other songwriters. Rae’s capacity to support other artists is backed by 8 years of experience working in media and marketing with some if the largest corporate marketing agencies in Australia.

Multi-talented not only as a singer-songwriter but also as an actress,  Rae Leigh was  featured on episode 4, season 2 of the hit NBC universal TV show ‘Young Rock’ with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a Nashville singer in the 80’s covering Dwight Yoakam’s ‘Honky Tonk Man’.  In the same week her single ‘Push Em Up Jill’ produced by Angus Gil hit number one on the Australian National Country radio airplay charts.  All right before her debut appearance at the Tamworth Country Music Festival 50th anniversary in 2022. 

 

Rae Leigh’s songs tell her story and share a message of hope and love,  inspiring others through their adversity,  to know there is always a way through with  focusing  on the light in the darkest of times.  Rae Leigh is on a path with her music to be a international Country sensation.
