The Orange Circus Band are a sweet 'n' raucous Bluegrass/Country collective based in the UK, with roots in Virginia, USA.    Whilst having a hand in roots, rock and gospel music, and updating traditional songs taken from The Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia , The Orange Circus Band produces original music that has a wholly unique, fresh sound. You can expect wild playing, beautiful harmonies and boundless energy guaranteed to raise the roof and warm the hearts.

Described also as a Celtic-Americana quartet,  they have roots in Virginia, Wales, Cornwall, and England.  Despite having a hand in traditional roots music, they produce full-blooded mountain monkey music with a wholly unique, contemporary sound,  guaranteed to be unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.

Their most recent release, Carmen Town, receives airplay on the UK’s most prominent radio station, BBC Radio.

Their playful video to Carmen Town was animated by Marvel comic artist, Guillermo Ortego.   Recently, the band also performed Shady Grove for The Tilehouse Sessions (Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells).

They play a monthly residency at the world-famous Troubadour in London. Raffish and revolutionary, this place developed into a centre of rebellion and new music for the young and young hearted. It's where Bob Dylan first performed when he came to London. Other faces of old include Charlie Watts, Sammy Davis Jr. and Jimi Hendrix and more recently it has guested Adele, Ed Sheeran and Laura Marling.

This year they've hit the road, roamed the land, slept in the hills, and documented their adventures in the newly released video to their track 'Ain't Got No Home'.   Playing festivals across the country including Cambridge Folk Festival (this year's headliners at The Den stage), Black Deer festival, Beat Herder festival and Maverick Festival. They've played amongst industry legends and those in the making, such as Patti Smith, First Aid Kit, Rhiannon Giddens, John Prine, Eric Bibb, Ashley Campbell, Ward Thomas, Whiskey Shivers, and many more.

They’ve toured Holland, Sweden, France, Germany and Italy.   And this year too, Jessie Moonlight has been welcomed into the Deering Banjo family alongside artists such as Rhiannon Giddens, Scott Avett, Jens Kruger, and  Béla Fleck.    Jessie's voice has also  been compared to Alison Krauss.

This unique band with a brand of Country Music all its own has roots throughout the world and the hearts of Country Music lovers.
