Hailing from Hickory, North Carolina, Zack Hayes is set to make a big impact on country music. Rooted in country-western tradition in both sound and style, Zack started out as a solo artist in 2018 after playing on the road as a keyboardist/back-up vocal singer for numerous bands. Zack has already gained momentum with his first single "Signals" and the music video has gained mainstream attention.
For Zack, it’s all about being authentic in his sound and staying true to country music roots. HIs goal is to not only establish himself as a country artist, but to release country music that reflects the music he was raised on, with of course an added Zack Hayes influence. Zack takes inspiration from traditional country music such as Hank Williams jr, Merle Haggard, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Tracy Lawrence, Alan Jackson, and current artists such as Christ Stapleton & Midland. He is a self described "music junkie" loving music ranging from the Eagles to Jewel, and he is also anxious to create his own identity in the industry.
Going forward, the singer/songwriter hopes to make use of all the experience that he has gained from years spent playing for other bands and looks forward to establishing his sound in the years to follow. “Learning most of what I know from being a member of other bands, it has given me lots of second hand experience. I have enjoyed every moment of setting out on my own. I had the privilege of recording in Nashville TN and releasing my first two singles which marked the beginning of my career. I was able to release a music video for my debut single “Signals” which has done wonders for my brand in as far as the recognition and awareness goes”, he said. Letting people know who he is as an artist, and beginning his solo career as a whole is his primary goal commending in 2019.
For an artist who has just started his solo career, things look to already be falling into place for Zack. “I played my first shows at the end of 2018, have booked my first schedule/dates for gigs in 2019 and also opened up for country music artist Darryl Worley. I attribute all of my current success to never missing a chance to play a local show and setup a genuine, home-felt experience”, said the singer/songwriter.
This traditional country-influenced artist, Zack Hayes, has now released a new single, Beer available on all major streaming platforms. "I had just finished watching the movie “Water Boy” , and after contemplating all the things possible with beer, while listening to the Eagles “The Long Run” in my backyard. I finished a couple of brews and wrote this song," explains Hayes. "The chorus says “I got a Cuh Cuh Cooler Full and that’s all Water Boy right there. I've got a lot of country and a little bit of Rock and Roll in my soul, and I wanted that to show through. The only goal I have is for people to turn up this song and turn up a cold one."
